This week, I am with my Mom. She is having eye surgery , so I'm her chauffeur and helper. I love my Mom. She's always been there for me, and I just am so blessed that God gave me a wonderful, beautiful, sweet, caring, nurturing, and praying Mom.
I am, however, missing my husband and kids. It's nice to be able to stay in touch in many ways (cell phones, computer)....and WE ARE keeping in touch. I enjoyed having this conversation with Jared:
Jared: "Mom, so we are going to get you this weekend?"
Me: "Yes, Honey."
Jared: "But, we missed church on Sunday. Is Pastor mad?"
Me: "No, he is not mad."
Jared: "But, what if he finds out that we are going to miss 2 Sundays? Will he be mad then?"
Me: "It's okay, honey. I told Pastor we were going to be out."
Later that morning, while waiting for his school bus:
Jared: "Mom, my bus is taking too long to get here. What if it doesn't come?"
Me: "Wait a few minutes and then call me again, and let me know if it got there."
-------5 MINUTES LATER------
Jared: "Mom, a bus came, but it's a substitute bus. The bus number is different. Is that okay? I hope so, because I"m on the bus already."
Me: "It's okay, honey."
