Jared (JJ): "Mom, I got this message on my phone. It asks if I need a 2nd income. (Pause) No experience necessary." (Pause, and waits for me to answer).
Me: (staring at him)....."umm, Jared.....delete the message."

Me: "Jared, how did you do on your History exam?"
JJ: "Ummm.... I was told not to tell you, yet."
Me: "What? Are you going to be able to make corrections?"
JJ: "Mom, remember you said you loved me no matter what."
(*sigh) He never did tell me his grade. He just said tomorrow he was going to have the opportunity to raise his grade.
