Childlike Faith

This morning during children's church at Solid Rock, Jonah complained about a horrible pain around his neck area. My son, usually has a high tolerance for pain, so I knew this was serious. He was pretty much in tears during our service. The other kids became concerned, and asked, "Should we go to the main church service and ask them to pray for him?" I told them that even though they were little, God still hears them and we could pray. I asked them if they had faith that God could heal Jonah, and they said yes. We gathered around Jonah, laid hands on him and believed that he could be healed. As we prayed, I mentioned last months' HIGH POINT motto: GOD CAN DO ANYTHING.

After church, before we were home, Jonah told me, "Mom, I feel fine. I don't feel any pain." Later, he told me, "Mom, I knew Jesus could heal me, but He sure was fast!!"

If you have a child that attends our children's church, please tell them that God did answer their prayer. God still heals and He still can do anything!

Love you Solid Rock kids, (and Joey!)

Thanks for sharing that story, Betty. Our kids have much to teach us about faith.

Pastor, yes they do. It's no wonder Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me..."
