This is Betty, again. WOW....my husband made me cry as I read the earlier post. (I love you, Babe. Thank you for those sweet words.)
Tomorrow is my birthday, but it's already turning out to be a great one. At church, Lillian (Pastor's wife) had beautiful flowers and a gift for me. She is so thoughtful-- I love her.
I have been wanting to go to Olive Garden for a while. There was a line, but we decided to wait. Our friends, Carlos, Angela, and Ethan just happened to be there. We were visiting outside while we waited. Jared asked to go to the restroom, so I let him. It came time for our friends to be seated... so they went in while we stayed outside. At that moment, Jared was coming back. The hostess asked Carlos, "So, it's two adults and two children?" That's when our friends noticed Jared tagging along right behind them. Carlos replies, "I guess it is."
I just know Jared was thinking, "Hey, why wait? Carlos is going to sit and order way before my parents." Smart kid, huh?
They were sweet to pay for him (that was a nice birthday gift for me).
With one less mouth to feed, now I could order an appetizer or dessert. I went for the appetizer. We had the sampler (stuffed mushroom, fried mozzarella, and calamari). We made Jonah try the calamari. He thought he was eating chicken. After he had eaten quite a bit, we told him what he was eating. He didn't believe us at first, but when we finally convinced him, he asked, "Is squid made out of chicken?!?!"
Later, Jared joined us. The waitress asked him if he needed a refill and he replied, "Why sure, (reading her name tag) Rosemary. Is that your name? " She nodded her head. Then he tells her (in his LOUD voice), " Hey in Ratatouille, rosemary grew out from the ground."
Kandra starts laughing her head off. Then I start laughing. Maybe you had to be there, but it was funny!!!
