Nice to be back home. Nevertheless , I really enjoyed spending time with my Mom and Brother. Thursday's meal was wonderful. The menudo was great, too. (My Mom's menudo always tastes delicious.) Visiting Laredo was great, too. (You can read about that in my husband's blog).
It's been a long while since I visited my hometown and birthplace. Going to church at Templo Emanuel this morning was great. Bro. Dino always makes us feel welcomed. I was able to sing a song, and Mac got to play his saxophone. Everyone couldn't believe how big my kids had grown. I even got to see my old band director. I had not seen him since 1989 (that's almost 20 years). He still remembered my nickname in high school: "Brush" (I always carried a hairbrush in my backpack, saxophone case, or in my hand - I know, how vain).
Our trip back home was also interesting. Jonah found out first-hand what diarrhea was. (Remember this post: here.) We made several stops. Poor Baby. I can just imagine him reading this when he is 15.
I still missed being at Solid Rock this morning/night. Can't wait to read Pastor's "Sunday Night Reflections."
Goodnite, all.
