words of wisdom ...from Jared

This morning, my husband forgot his cell phone. So I told the kids to get ready to take a ride to Daddy's work. I was wearing an old t-shirt and I told the kids, "Get in the vehicle, I will be right out. I'm going to change my shirt." Jared replied, "Yes, Mom, you should. That shirt is not worthy to wear to Daddy's work." Uh... okay.

When we arrived, Jonah wanted to get down right away. Since there are always cars passing through the parking lot, I told him to wait until I came around to get him. He said, "But, Mom, I can get down." Jared, of course, remarked, "No, Jonah, don't talk back to Mommy. We are not to talk back to our parents. But, our parents can talk back to us."

Later, we took Daddy to lunch. We sat at a booth, and right away, Jared tells his Daddy, "Please put your napkin on your lap. If you don't, well, that's a safety violation."

Where does he get this stuff?
